Clemson head coach Brad Brownell has his Tigers on quite a run on the basketball court. He may not have Clemson hoops at the spot that Dabo Swinney got the Tigers on the gridiron — consistently winning championships — but you have to give Brownell credit.
The Tigers made a run to the Elite 8 last season before falling to Alabama. This March, they entered the tournament as a No. 5 seed but were bounced by No. 12 McNeese State.
That's the nature of March Madness, but if Brownell wants his Tigers to bounce back and get even further past the Elite 8 next season he's going to have to keep adding to his roster.
Clemson may have gotten a big piece in that regard on Wednesday, as it was reported that former Nevada big man Nick Davidson chose to commit to the Tigers via the transfer portal.

Just finishing up his junior campaign, Davidson spent the last three years with Nevada and 2024-25 was his best season yet. He averaged 15.8 points, 6.5 rebounds and 2.8 assists per game for the Wolf Pack and was named second-team All-Mountain West for his efforts.
He's a traditional big man with comfort with his back to the basket or in the paint at 6-foot-10, 238 pounds, but he can also fill it up from deep when he's left open.
Davidson shot 37.1% from downtown last season for Nevada.
