The 2025 NFL Draft is 18 days away, and the Seattle Seahawks have the 18th pick for the first time since 1987. Back then, they selected edge-rusher Tony Woods. This year, they’ve been linked to the following prospects.
G Tyler Booker | Alabama
As ESPN’s Mike Tannenbaum points out, the Seahawks made changes at quarterback (Geno Smith to Sam Darnold) and offensive coordinator (Ryan Grubb to Klint Kubiak) in the offseason and were 21st in pass block win rate last year (58.5 percent). He also mentions that Booker allowed just one sack in over 1,924 career snaps.
Booker was a two-year captain at Alabama, where he split time between left and right guard as a freshman before being used exclusively at right guard in 2023. He also played 77 snaps at left tackle last season.
At 6-foot-5 and 321 pounds, Booker may not be as athletic as other prospects, but his versatility, sound fundamentals and high football IQ have him rated as the top guard in the draft by Pro Football Focus, which also ranked Seattle’s offensive line second worst in the league last season.
OL Grey Zabel | North Dakota State
Of course, if Booker is taken, CBS Sports’ Josh Edwards thinks Zabel will do. At 6-foot-6 and 312 pounds, Zabel has the size to play anywhere on the offensive line, making 17 starts at right tackle, 16 at left tackle and four at left guard in three years with the North Dakota State Bison.
Couldn’t have been more impressed with @NDSUfootball OL Grey Zabel in the @seniorbowl 1-on-1s. Here are three good reps from him at three different positions (C, LG, RG)

Senior Bowl coaches used him exclusively on the interior where Edwards’ colleague, Ryan Wilson, said Zabel "looked like a 10-year veteran no matter where he lined up."
Less than a month later, Zabel led all offensive linemen with a 36.5-inch vertical jump at the combine, where he finished in the top 10 with a 9-foot-3 broad jump and 26 bench reps on the bench press.
WR Matthew Golden | Texas
A new offensive lineman would be nice, but Seattle could use a pair of talented receivers to replace DK Metcalf after trading him to the Steelers and after releasing Tyler Lockett.
PFF’s Josh Liskiewitz believes adding a wide receiver will be the team’s top priority in the draft and thinks Golden would fit perfectly with the Seahawks.
"His advanced avenues of success, whether through beating press, impressive footwork, after-the-catch ability or kick-return prowess, make him a player who could be a high-end WR2 in the league," he said.
Golden had 58 catches for a team-high 987 yards and nine scores with Texas last season and 76 catches for 988 yards and 13 touchdowns for Houston from 2022-23. At 5-foot-11 and 191 pounds, Golden isn’t the biggest wide receiver in the draft, but his 4.29-second 40-yard dash at the NFL Scouting Combine was the second best of any prospect.
Jaxon Smith-Njigba, the Seahawks' first-round pick in 2023, emerged as the team’s leading receiver with 1,130 yards last season but should welcome Golden’s presence in the absence of Lockett and Metcalf.
