Top WR prospect Isaiah Bond facing allegation of sexual assault

One of the country's top prospects is having some off-field trouble ahead of the 2025 NFL Draft.

Former Texas wide receiver Isaiah Bond turned himself into police in Frisco, Texas, on Thursday morning after a warrant was issued for him that was related to an alleged sexual assault.

He posted bond and was released, according to NFL Media.

Shortly after the news surfaced, Bond issued a statement calling the allegation against him “patently false.”

“Regarding the accusation made against me, I would appreciate the time and opportunity to defend myself and prove the claims made, patently false,” Bond said. “I am in full cooperation with the authorities and will remain a willing and active participant in the investigation. Unfortunately, claims like these prove to be harmful to all involved, absent full review. I kindly request that all reserve judgement until the authorities provide a complete report based on truth and evidence.”

Bond had 34 catches for 540 yards and five touchdowns at Texas last season. Analysts have predicted that he could be drafted as high as late in the first round, though his legal trouble could impact his stock.

Bond put the spotlight on himself at the NFL Scouting Combine in February when he guaranteed that he would break the record for the fastest 40-yard dash time in history. He did not come close to breaking the record and was not even the fastest player at the combine, which resulted in some criticism.

Further details regarding the warrant were not immediately available, but with just two weeks to go until the NFL Draft, the story will be one to watch.
