The 2025 NFL Draft is now 13 days away.
The Dolphins have the 13th pick. In 2019, they used the 13th pick on Clemson defensive tackle Christian Wilkins. This year, they’ve been linked to these players in many mock drafts.
T Kelvin Banks Jr. | Texas
Even before All-Pro left tackle Terron Armstead decided to retire, the team’s offensive line needed an upgrade, which explains why Pro Football Focus’ Dalton Wasserman sends Banks to the Dolphins in his latest mock draft.
Banks earned unanimous All-American honors in 2024 and won the Lombardi Award as college football’s best offensive lineman and the Outland Trophy as the nation's best lineman overall (OL/DL). He played 42 games at left tackle with Texas, but at 6-foot-4 and 320 pounds, many think he’s better suited to play guard.
Of course, the Dolphins took Patrick Paul in the second round of last year’s draft, but Wasserman believes Banks can move inside to left guard if the second-year tackle earns a starting role.
CB Will Johnson | Michigan
ESPN's Field Yates sees the Dolphins adding to another position of need.
“I know the Dolphins must address their interior offensive line,” but cornerback should not be overlooked," Yates wrote. "There is a big hole at CB2 in Miami opposite Jalen Ramsey, with Storm Duck and Cam Smith currently listed as options to start.”
Yates sees the 6-foot-2, 202-pound cornerback as the best option for the team’s ninth-ranked secondary. Johnson helped lead Michigan to a national championship with four interceptions in 2023 and returned each of two interceptions for touchdowns in 2024. Altogether, he had nine interceptions in three years at Michigan to go with 68 tackles.

Pro Football Focus rates Johnson as the third-best cornerback in this year’s draft behind Heisman Trophy winner Travis Hunter and Texas' Jahdae Barron. It lists Johnson as the 13th-best prospect overall, making him a logical choice at pick No. 13.
S Malaki Starks | Georgia
Miami could use safety help as well, especially after losing Jevon Holland to the Giants. Athlon Sports’ Luke Easterling believes the Dolphins are in need of “a versatile, athletic playmaker with the versatility to line up at multiple spots in the defensive backfield.”
He thinks Starks has the skill set to succeed immediately with "a proven track record of big-play success against top competition." The first-team All-American had six interceptions in three years with Georgia and backed up a 52-tackle 2023 season by making 52 solo tackles (77 overall) for the Bulldogs in 2024.
The 6-foot-1, 205-pound defensive back is the top-rated safety in the draft and ninth-best prospect overall according to PFF.
