Sam Hunt Racing turned in one of the most impressive days in company history on Saturday at Bristol Motor Speedway.
In a SciAps 300 that was a very straightforward race, Corey Heim and Dean Thompson both turned in top-10 results after running well throughout the afternoon.
Neither SHR driver earned stage points in Stage 1, but Stage 2 saw Heim climb his way into eighth, with Thompson also working his way up to 12th.
When the checkered flag flew, Heim — a top NASCAR prospect who is the championship favorite in the NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series — finished eighth, while Thompson — a 23-year-old Xfinity Series rookie — finished 10th.

It's the sixth top-10 finish in 20 Xfinity Series starts for Heim and the third top-10 of the 2025 season for Thompson, who is in the hunt for the Xfinity Series Rookie of the Year award.
Heim and Thompson were teammates in the Craftsman Truck Series in 2023 and 2024 at TRICON Garage.
Heim finished third in Friday's Truck Series race at Bristol and already has two wins through seven Truck Series races in 2025. Thompson, meanwhile, was at the center of the biggest crash of Saturday's race. Contact from his No. 26 Toyota sent Sheldon Creed spinning, with Creed's Ford coming to a stop in the middle of the track before it was clobbered by Brennan Poole's Chevrolet, incurring major damage on both cars.
