Former LSU wide receiver Kyren Lacy passed away at 24 years old. He was found dead Saturday night in Houston. Multiple reports indicate his death is a suspected suicide.
In January, Lacy was charged with negligent homicide, felony hit-and-run with death, and reckless operation of a vehicle. WBRZ reported that a grand jury was set to take up Lacy's case on Monday.
Lacy had declared for the NFL Draft in December following a season with 58 catches, 866 receiving yards, and nine receiving touchdowns.
Dak Prescott had an apparent reaction to the news on Sunday morning, sending a message about suicide prevention through an Instagram story.
"Please!!! Ask 4 help," Prescott posted. "It doesn't have to end that way! It takes all of US!"

Prescott, who lost his brother Jace in 2020 to suicide, has been a long-time advocate of mental health. The Cowboys quarterback has used his platform to champion people struggling with mental illness and his "Faith. Fight. Finish. Foundation" focuses on mental health and suicide prevention as one of its four pillars.
The 2024 NFL international fan of the year, Eduardo Flores, said live during last year's NFL Draft that he "wouldn't be standing here without Dak Prescott."
When talking to interviewer Graham Bensinger in 2020, Prescott said about his brother's death: "It showed me how vulnerable we have to be as humans, how open we have to be."
“Because our adversities, our struggles, what we go through is always gonna be too much for ourselves and maybe too much for even one or two people, but never too much for a community or too much for people in the family that you love. So you have to share these things."
