Justin Allgaier continues incredible start to NASCAR Xfinity Series season

After finally breaking through and capturing his first NASCAR Xfinity Series championship in 2024, the floodgates have opened for Justin Allgaier.

Allgaier entered Saturday's SciAps 300 at Bristol — the ninth race of the 2025 Xfinity Series season — with a 71-point lead in the standings over second-place Sam Mayer. A third-place effort on Saturday evening only grew that lead, with Allgaier leading Mayer by 83 points following Bristol.

In nine races, Allgaier has seven top-five finishes, an average finish of 7.2 and two victories at Las Vegas and Homestead, respectively.

After qualifying fourth on Saturday morning, Allgaier finished fifth in Stage 1 and second in Stage 2 before ultimately finishing the race in third. Allgaier ran in second for much of the race's final run but was passed by JR Motorsports teammate Carson Kvapil for the runner-up spot in the race's waning moments.

The third-place finish also earned Allgaier the $100,000 Dash 4 Cash bonus and ensured the veteran driver has a spot in the Dash 4 Cash contest at Rockingham on April 19.

"I'm frustrated at the day we had because this place has been so good to us in the past," Allgaier told CW Sports. "It's hard to be upset, but at the same time, our Jarrett Logistics Chevrolet just needed a little bit. It was hard firing off on the short run there, and then the middle part of the run, we weren't as good as I'd like to be."

Allgaier will chase his third win of the season at Rockingham Speedway on April 19 in the first Xfinity Series race at "The Rock" since 2004. The North Carolina Education Lottery 250 will go green shortly after 4 p.m. ET, with coverage on the CW, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio.
