Bill Belichick's girlfriend seems to have active role with UNC team

If you were not already convinced that things had gotten serious between Bill Belichick and his girlfriend Jordon Hudson, perhaps a closer look at the North Carolina practice field will help seal the deal.

In a story that was published on Tuesday, Matt Baker of The Athletic shared the contents of dozens of emails he obtained from UNC through a public records request. What Baker found is that, though she does not have a contract or employment agreement with UNC, Hudson seems to have some sort of role with the Tar Heels football program.

Hudson has written emails providing advice to UNC’s media team. One example of that was when she wrote an email on Dec. 22 urging the school’s media staff to be mindful of depicting Belichick’s son Steve, who is now UNC’s defensive coordinator, as “his own established, credible entity as opposed to an extension of Bill.” A staffer later responded that the school had not yet posted anything about hiring Steve but would “certainly promote him as his own entity.”

Baker notes that the exchange came nearly a week after Belichick requested that Hudson be copied on emails. While Hudson’s involvement is said to be “minimal,” she also at one point questioned whether anyone with UNC was “monitoring the UNC Football page for slanderous commentary and subsequently deleting it / blocking users that are harassing BB in the comments.”

Hudson has also been visible on the UNC practice field this spring. A video surfaced of her this week that showed her interacting with Belichick and other Tar Heels staffers, and it looked like Hudson was doing more than just paying a quick visit.
