Billy Horschel fulfills fan’s wild request after hitting her with errant shot

Billy Horschel signed an autograph for a fan on Thursday that was almost certainly unlike any other he has signed in the past.

Horschel played in the first round of the RBC Heritage at Harbour Town Golf Links in Hilton Head Island, S.C. At one point, Horschel hit an errant shot that struck a member of the gallery in the leg.

When that happens, golfers often sign a ball, glove or some sort of other souvenir to give to the fan who was hit. But this particular fan had a different request — she wanted Horschel to sign the massive welt that had already developed on her leg.

And Horschel obliged.

That was one heck of a lump. Hopefully the woman tracked down an ice pack after Horschel signed her leg.

We have seen errant shots do some serious damage in the past, but you probably won’t ever see a spectator take one like more of a champ. That was a well-deserved autograph.
