NFL Draft countdown: Focus on Jaguars' first-round pick at No. 5

NFL Network’s Lance Zierlein compares Graham to the Raiders’ Christian Wilkins, a first-round pick of the Dolphins in 2019. 

"Graham’s first-step quickness makes interior disruption inevitable," Zierlein wrote. "He has the instant read and response to regularly beat lateral blocks."

If taken, Graham would be Jacksonville’s first interior defender taken in the first round since Florida’s Taven Bryan in 2018.

TE Tyler Warren | Penn State

CBS Sports’ Cody Benjamin believes Warren’s combination of size (6-foot-5, 256 pounds), toughness and versatility would fit perfectly in new coach Liam Coen's offense, but not with the fifth pick.

Benjamin believes the team will get Warren with the ninth pick after trading down with the quarterback-needy Saints. Unlike most sites, CBS ranks Warren as the second-best tight end in the draft behind Michigan’s Colston Loveland, whom Benjamin has going to the Bears with the 10th pick.

Warren had a school-record 104 catches for a team-high 1,233 yards and eight touchdowns on his way to winning the John Mackey Award as college football's most outstanding tight end last year. He was also the only tight end among this year’s prospects to earn an “elite” distinction at the 2025 NFL Scouting Combine, per Next Gen Stats.

Tight ends Brenton Strange and Evan Engram combined to make 87 catches for 776 yards for Jacksonville last season, but Strange had only two touchdowns, and Engram signed a two-year, $23M contract with the Broncos in the offseason.

WR Tetairoa McMillan | Arizona

CBS Sports’ Pete Prisco is also keen on pairing Thomas with another dynamic pass-catcher but thinks it should be McMillan instead. 

"With Brian Thomas Jr. in as the top guy," Prisco writes, "McMillan would make for a nice 1-2 punch with his size and ability to make the 50-50 plays"

A consensus All-American in 2024, Tetairoa averaged 1,141 yards and 8.6 touchdowns in three seasons with Arizona and had 87 catches over his last two seasons to finish as Arizona’s all-time receiving leader with 3,423 yards.

The Jaguars lost wide receivers Christian Kirk, Tim Jones, Devin Duvernay and Josh Reynolds this offseason. They brought in Dyami Brown from Washington, but with an average of 196 yards and one touchdown per season, he’s never been more than a No. 3 receiver, leaving room for McMillan to become  Jacksonville’s No. 2 pass-catcher.
