Many fans eagerly await where Colorado teammates Travis Hunter and Shedeur Sanders will land during the 2025 NFL Draft, scheduled Thursday-Saturday in Green Bay.
Sanders (6-foot-2, 212 pounds) and Hunter (6-foot, 188 pounds) are among the more hyped prospects in this year's class. On his final big board, NFL.com's Daniel Jeremiah rated Hunter as the No. 1 cornerback/wide receiver and Sanders the No. 2 quarterback.
With that in mind, here are three potential destinations for each Colorado star:
Destinations for Hunter
Cleveland Browns
Taking the 2024 Heisman winner with pick No. 2 would make sense for the Browns, who need him to help improve their passing attack. In 2024, Cleveland ranked 22nd in the league in passing yards (206.2 YPG).
The Browns also seem willing to let him continue playing both ways, which is important for Hunter. In a story published on April 15, he told CBS Sports' Garrett Podell he'll quit playing if a team forces him to focus on one position.
"[He's] a little bit like [Shohei Ohtani of the Los Angeles Dodgers]," Browns general manager Andrew Berry said of Hunter in a news conference on April 17. "Pitcher or hitter, he's an outstanding player. You get a unicorn if you use him both ways."
New York Giants
If the Browns pass on Hunter, the Giants should consider taking him with pick No. 3.
Hunter — who had 15 touchdown catches in 13 games in 2024 — could form an explosive tandem with Giants WR Malik Nabers. During his rookie season in 2024, Nabers had the league's fifth-most receptions (109) and seventh-most receiving yards (1,204) in 15 games.
Giants head coach Brian Daboll is clearly a fan of Hunter.
"It's really remarkable what he has done and the ability to perform at that level — not really getting a rest," Daboll said at the annual league meeting on April 1. "He's been a fun player to evaluate, meet and talk with. He's a heck of a player."
Jacksonville Jaguars
Perhaps Jacksonville will trade up from pick No. 5 to land Hunter. On a Tuesday episode of ESPN's "Get Up," Peter Schrager said the Browns and Giants are fielding calls for their respective picks.
Jaguars QB Trevor Lawrence could use a playmaker like Hunter. Outside of WR Brian Thomas Jr. — who had 1,282 receiving yards in 17 games — no Jaguar surpassed 411 receiving yards last season.
Hunter could fortify Jacksonville's lousy secondary, which allowed the most passing yards (257.4 YPG) in the league in 2024. In two seasons with the Buffaloes, he intercepted seven passes and defended 16.
Destinations for Sanders
New Orleans Saints
Saints starting QB Derek Carr is battling a shoulder injury and could miss the upcoming season. New Orleans backup QB Spencer Rattler — a fifth-round pick in 2024 — posted a subpar 70.4 passer rating in seven games last season.
In a story published Monday, an executive told ESPN's Adam Schefter he thinks the Saints may take Ole Miss QB Jaxson Dart (6-foot-2, 223 pounds) instead of Sanders. Still, the Colorado star could be more pro-ready.
In his final season with the Buffaloes, Sanders played under offensive coordinator Pat Shurmur, who runs a pro-style offense. Dart, meanwhile, played three seasons for Ole Miss HC Lane Kiffin, who uses an offense with few NFL concepts.
Pittsburgh Steelers
Even if they sign Aaron Rodgers, the Steelers should add another QB. In free agency, Pittsburgh reunited with QB Mason Rudolph after he played for the Tennessee Titans for one season. He's probably a stop-gap, though. In seven seasons, he has a 9-8-1 starting record in the regular season.
Sanders, an accurate passer, could flourish with the Steelers receiving corps, which features tight end Pat Freiermuth and wide receivers George Pickens and DK Metcalf. In two seasons with the Buffaloes, Sanders completed 71.8 percent of his passes, an FBS record for a career.
On Tuesday, Steelers head coach Mike Tomlin praised Sanders, which suggests they may take him if he slides to them at pick No. 21.
"I think the things that stood out were evident in his video," Tomlin told the media. "I know he's very talented and made a lot of plays for his university and team, but the intangible qualities displayed on tape were impressive to me."
New York Giants
The Giants signed QBs Russell Wilson and Jameis Winston in free agency but may grab a passer in the draft. Per ESPN's Jordan Raanan, New York held private workouts with Sanders, Louisville QB Tyler Shough (6-foot-5, 219 pounds) and Alabama QB Jalen Milroe (6-foot-2, 217 pounds) recently.
The Giants probably won't take Sanders with pick No. 3, but they could try to trade back into the first round and select him. If he falls out of the first round, they could also take him with pick No. 34 in the second round.
If the Giants select Hunter and Sanders, that could be a draft that gives the team a jolt after going 3-14 last season.
