Kristaps Porzingis was gushing blood after taking an elbow to the forehead during the Boston Celtics’ playoff game on Wednesday night.

The Celtics were leading the Orlando Magic 77-66 late in the third quarter of Game 2 of their first-round playoff series at TD Garden in Boston. Paolo Banchero had the ball for Orlando and attempted a jump shot from the elbow. Goga Bitazde whacked Porzingis in the head with an inadvertent elbow while going up for the rebound.

Porzingis was gushing blood after taking that elbow to the head. He went into the locker room to get treated, and he even had to have his hair cleaned up because it had so much blood in it.

Porzingis ended up having a bandage placed on his forehead to cover the gash. He received chants of “KP” from Celtics fans supporting him.

Bitazde was called for a Flagrant 1 foul, which put Porzingis at the free throw line. He made one of his two attempts.

Porzingis is in his second season with the Celtics. He averaged 19.5 points, 6.8 rebounds and 1.5 blocks per game during the regular season.

Boston defeated Orlando, 109-100, to take a 2-0 series lead.
