Jesse Love wins pole for NASCAR Xfinity Series race at Talladega

Jesse Love won the pole for Saturday's Ag-Pro 300 at Talladega Superspeedway, traveling around the 2.66-mile superspeedway at an average speed of 182.224 miles per hour on Friday.

With the second round of qualifying canceled due to weather, Love's fast lap stood unchallenged when the first round concluded.

The pole is the seventh of Love's Xfinity Series career and his second of the 2025 season.

"Looking forward to tomorrow," Love told CW Sports. "I feel like we got a good shot tomorrow, just have to stay up front."

Love is the defending winner of the Ag-Pro 300, and initially won last week's race at Rockingham Speedway before being disqualified in post-race inspection.

Love's Richard Childress teammate, Austin Hill, qualified second, with Justin Allgaier, Joey Gase and Jeb Burton rounding out the top five. Taylor Gray, Josh Williams, Daniel Dye, Ryan Ellis and Jeremy Clements completed the top 10.

Other notable qualifiers include Sheldon Creed in 11th, Connor Zilisch in 13th, Sammy Smith in 14th, Carson Kvapil in 20th and Katherine Legge in 27th.

Austin Green, Jake Garcia and Garrett Smithley all failed to qualify on Friday and were the three slowest cars that took time. Garcia, a full-time driver in the Craftsman Truck Series with ThorSport Racing, was attempting his Xfinity Series debut with RSS Racing in the team's No. 29 car.

The Ag-Pro 300 will go green shortly after 4 p.m. ET on Saturday, with coverage on the CW, MRN and SiriusXM NASCAR Radio. Pre-race coverage will start at 3 p.m. ET on the CW and at 3:30 p.m. ET on MRN.
