Following Austin Cindric's win in Sunday's Jack Link's 500 at Talladega Superspeedway, MLB legend Chipper Jones reached out to the race winner on social media with some advice.
At the end of Stage 2 in Sunday's race, Cindric opted not to push his Team Penske teammate, Joey Logano, to the stage win after a stack-up forced Cindric to get out of line. Logano was furious on the radio, going on a rant about Cindric's move after Bubba Wallace won the stage.

"Way to go, Austin!," Logano said over the radio after the conclusion of Stage 2. "Way to go, you (expletive). What a stupid (expletive). He just gave it to him. Gave a Toyota a stage win, nice job. Way to go. Put that in his frickin' notes and text it to us."
Jones, who played for the Atlanta Braves from 1993 to 2012 and helped Atlanta capture the 1995 World Series, took to social media after the race to support Cindric and scorn Logano.
Congrats to @AustinCindric on his @TALLADEGA win. Good teammates are hard to come by, Boss! Remember that one of urs MFed u on national tv, when in all actuality, u did everything possible to keep from wrecking him. Hate to be #dueces in the ‘team’ meeting on Monday. Some people…

Jones told Cindric to remember that Logano, "MFed u on national tv, when, in actuality, u did everything possible to keep from wrecking him."
Cindric, of course, went on to win the race, while Logano crossed the line in fifth. But the end of Stage 2 wasn't the end of Logano's frustration on Sunday — the No. 22 was disqualified for a loose spoiler bolt in post-race inspection, relegating him to a 39th-place finish and stripping him of all but one point. With Team Penske opting not to appeal the penalty, Talladega will essentially be a lost race for the No. 22 team.
