Packers' WR corps could have a new look following 2025 NFL Draft  

Romeo Doubs

Doubs had a strong 2024 season despite playing in just 13 regular-season games. He ranked second among Packers receivers in receptions (46) and third in receiving yards (601), while snagging four touchdowns. Like Reed, he also struggled with drops, with eight, the third most on the team. Doubs will still remain a key contributor as it's clear he's one of Love's favorite targets.

Christian Watson

Watson's 2025 season will be delayed as he continues recovering from the ACL tear he suffered in Week 18 against the Bears. Last season, he continued to be Green Bay's main deep-threat target, leading the Packers with 21.4 yards per reception. While his elite athleticism makes him a dangerous weapon downfield, his availability remains uncertain, as he isn’t expected to return until around November.

Dontayvion Wicks

Wicks quietly put together a solid year for Green Bay, leading the Packers in targets (76) while finishing third in receptions (39) and fourth in receiving yards (415). His five touchdowns ranked second among Packers wideouts, being one of the top red-zone threats. However, ball security was an issue, with his nine dropped passes were second most on the team and tied for sixth most in the NFL. If he can clean up his hands, Wicks has the potential to take a step forward in the Packers’ receiving corps.

Malik Heath

Heath played a limited role in the passing attack, finishing fifth among Packers receivers with just 97 yards on 10 receptions. His two touchdowns show some flashes of red-zone reliability, but his usage keeps him at just a depth option.

2025 draft selections

Round 1, pick 23: Matthew Golden, Texas

The Packers selected a wide receiver in the first round of the NFL Draft for the first time since 2002. Golden joins Green Bay after a stellar season with the Longhorns, where he led his team in receptions (58), receiving yards (987) and touchdowns (nine). At the NFL Combine, he recorded a 4.29 time in the 40-yard dash — the fastest time among all wide receivers and the second-fastest overall. With Watson sidelined due to his ACL injury, Golden has a prime opportunity to step into his role. If he delivers as projected, he may secure a lasting spot in the lineup even after Watson returns in November.

Round 3, pick 87, Savion Williams, TCU

With TCU last season, Williams finishing second on the Horned Frogs in both receptions (60) and touchdowns (six). His towering 6-foot-4, 220-pound frame makes him the tallest and heaviest wide receiver on the Packers' roster. At the NFL Combine, he ran a 4.48 time in the 40-yard dash time — the fastest time among wide receivers 6-foot-4 or taller —showcasing elite athleticism for his size.

Notable offseason addition

Mecole Hardman

Hardman signed a one-year deal with Green Bay after spending last season with the Kansas City Chiefs. In 2024, he recorded just 12 receptions for 90 yards and contributed 62 rushing yards along with a touchdown. Despite dealing with a knee injury, he remains a dynamic and versatile asset, excelling both as a receiver and a return specialist. With Green Bay, he will likely primarily serve in the return game but should still see opportunities on offense.

Per ESPN, the Green Bay Packers' depth chart lists Jayden Reed, Romeo Doubs and Matthew Golden as the primary WR trio. While training camp and preseason could shift the lineup, this group appears poised to lead the way heading into Week 1. With Golden's speed, Reed's versatility and Doubs' reliability, the Packers have a promising receiving corps to support Love.
