Shilo Sanders fired dad Deion as his agent

One of the biggest blunders of the 2025 NFL draft was the Sanders brothers not using agents and letting their father Deion advise them. Shilo at least took some steps to remedy that.

Shilo Sanders did not get drafted over the weekend. The former Colorado Buffaloes safety said on a live video stream on Saturday that he was signing with an agent to help him find a team as an undrafted free agent.

“Dad was our agent. But Dad hasn’t been working out too good, so today I signed with an agent. So we’re going to see what happens,” Shilo had said in the video.

That same day, prominent NFL agent Drew Rosenhaus’ company shared a post on social media welcoming Shilo to their family.

Deion Sanders was not getting the job done, so Shilo had to bring in a professional. And Rosenhaus helped get Shilo signed with the Tampa Bay Buccaneers.

Unfortunately for the Sanders family, it was too late for them to undo the issues an agent may have assisted with when it came to Shedeur. Shedeur reportedly was not well prepared for the predraft interview process, came across as unprofessional and was not selected until the fifth round. Multiple teams reportedly removed him from their draft boards entirely. It’s too late for those mistakes to be fixed, though. Now Shedeur will be battling a five-quarterback deep room in Cleveland.
