Josh Hart is happily taking his victory lap around the Detroit Pistons.

Hart and the New York Knicks officially won their first-round series against the Pistons with a 116-113 victory in Thursday’s Game 6 at Little Caesars Arena in Detroit, Mich. The game had an epic finish as Knicks star Jalen Brunson hit the most memorable shot of the NBA playoffs thus far to win the game.

In a post to his Instagram page on Friday, the Knicks guard Hart decided to troll the Pistons. Hart posted photos of him and his Knicks teammates celebrating the Game 6 victory.

“Bad Boys,” Hart wrote in his caption.

“Bad Boys” is of course the famous nickname for the Pistons teams of the late 1980s and early 1990s. Those Pistons won back-to-back NBA championships in 1989 and 1990 and were known for their hard-nosed and physical style of play.

Now in 2025, Hart has decided to repurpose the nickname for his team’s own use. Under head coach Tom Thibodeau, the Knicks, who are loaded with long and sturdy defensive forwards, have developed a reputation for some roughshod play of their own.

Granted, it might not have been that deep for Hart, who was probably just trolling the Pistons upon the conclusion of their playoff series. The two teams openly loathed each other throughout the six-game set with heated on-court moments even up to the Game 6 clincher . With the Knicks now advancing to the second round to play the Boston Celtics, Hart is cheerfully rubbing some salt in the wounds of Detroit.
