With less than 48 hours left before tipoff, the Cavaliers and Pacers finally know when they will start Game 1 of their Eastern Conference semifinal series.
That’s because of the Rockets’ biggie of a Game 6 road win over the Warriors out West.
So, now, the Cavs and Pacers will tip off at 6 p.m. EST at Rocket Arena, again, on Sunday. It will be nationally broadcast on TNT.
Golden State had a chance to put away their series against Houston, with a 3-2 series lead and Game 6 at home. The Rockets made sure that didn’t happen with a determined fourth quarter. Game 7 of that series will take place Sunday in Houston. Oh boy.
Interestingly, the Warriors once held a 3-1 lead.
Anyway, if you’re reading this, odds are, all you care about is the Cavs-Pacers series. With that in mind, the entire series schedule breaks down this way:
The Cavs, of course, are the No. 1 seed in the East; the Pacers the No. 4 seed. Cleveland finished with a 64-18 record, its first 60-plus win season without LeBron James on the team. James and the Lakers, by the way, have been eliminated from the playoffs and are already beginning their offseason of drama.
Game 7 between the Rockets and Warriors will tip off at 8:30 p.m. EST, also on TNT.
