Watch: Dodgers' Shohei Ohtani blasts HR where he created '50-50' club

Los Angeles Dodgers designated hitter Shohei Ohtani picked up where he left off in the ballpark he established the 50-50 club a season ago.

On Monday night in Miami, Ohtani hit a two-run home run against the Marlins, giving Los Angeles a 5-0, fifth-inning lead in an eventual 7-4 win.

Ohtani drove the sixth pitch of his at-bat against Marlins starting pitcher Sandy Alcantara, a 97 mph four-seam fastball, 386 feet to right field.

The line-drive home run left Ohtani's bat with an exit velocity of 117.9 mph, which MLB noted was the three-time MVP's hardest hit this season.

The last time Ohtani played at loanDepot Park, he had one of the greatest single-game performances in MLB history.

Ohtani became the first player to have 50 home runs and 50 steals in a season after going 6-for-6 with three home runs, two stolen bases and 10 RBI in a 20-4 win on Sept. 19, 2024.

Per Stathead, Ohtani entered Monday with 25 plate appearances in five career games at loanDepot and a .391/.440/1.000 slash line with four home runs and 14 RBI.

Ohtani reached base twice in Monday's win, finishing the game 1-for-4 at the plate with a walk and two runs scored.
