Jared Curtis must have a strong feeling about the Georgia Bulldogs, because he's now committed to Kirby Smart and Co. twice.
Of course, the first commitment didn't last, and that's definitely worth noting. Curtis, a five-star quarterback from Nashville had originally committed to UGA in March 2024.
He decommitted in October 2024 and got a ton of interest from other programs. Oregon has been the closest to earning his commitment, but South Carolina, Ohio State, Alabama, Auburn and Ole Miss were also in the running.
Ultimately, per Eli Lederman of ESPN, Curtis hosted Georgia offensive coordinator Mike Bobo and then Oregon offensive coordinator Will Stein over the last week to help him narrow down his decision between the Bulldogs and Ducks.
There must be something about Georgia for him, because despite Oregon's best attempts, UGA once again picked up his commitment.
“Georgia speaks for itself,” Curtis had told On3 in the past. “I’ve built a relationship with coach Bobo and coach Smart. I think they’re a powerhouse and they have great coaches all around. They have the players up there and they’re very disciplined.”

Smart can thank his offensive coordinator for the assist in this recruiting win. Curtis had previously gushed about the former Georgia quarterback turned offensive coordinator.
“The biggest thing is the relationship with coach Bobo and what they do with quarterbacks,” Curtis said, per On3. “Coach Bobo has a long history and he’s done great as an offensive coordinator and I’m looking forward to getting back up there.”
This is a big win for Georgia because Curtis does project to be the future of the program at quarterback. He was the Gatorade Player of the Year in Tennessee and also the state's Mr. Football. He threw for 2830 yards and 40 touchdowns compared to just three interceptions in his junior season, while rushing for 637 yards and 18 touchdowns on the ground.
According to the 247Sports Composite, Curtis is the top quarterback in the 2026 class and the No. 2 overall recruit.
