The Indiana Fever are gearing up for the 2025 WNBA season, which marks Caitlin Clark's second year in the league.
There is a lot of excitement and buzz with the Fever, especially with a busy offseason that brought a lot of changes to the roster.
Stephanie White, the Fever's new coach, is one of them. Sophie Cunningham is another, and the new-look Fever are hoping to make a playoff run.
However, Clark is dealing with a leg injury that has limited her during the preseason and kept her out of the preseason opener. On Wednesday, the Fever head coach gave an update on Clark's status with the regular season quickly approaching.
"She's been limited in practice, so we're still very cautious about working her way back and really letting her body kind of tell her how much she's able to do," White said, per Chloe Peterson of The Indianapolis Star.
"We're really relying on the training staff, and she's making great progress. And that's what we need, just to make sure that we're super cautious."
Clark did manage to play on Sunday against the Brazilian National team in her return to the Iowa Hawkeyes arena. She played 19 minutes and scored 16 points with six rebounds and five assists.
Peterson also posted a video of Clark at Wednesday's practice, so these are positive signs for the Fever.

The next Fever preseason game is on Saturday against the Atlanta Dream, so it will be interesting to see how White handles Clark going forward with the regular season about to start.
