Watch: Oilers start quick in Game 4 vs. Golden Knights

The Edmonton Oilers quickly washed out the taste of Game 3's stunning loss to the Vegas Golden Knights by taking an early 1-0 lead on Monday.

Center Adam Henrique scored one minute and 27 seconds into the game as Edmonton aims to take a commanding 3-1 series advantage.

From behind the Golden Knights' goal, forward Connor Brown passed to Henrique, who had a clean look and ripped a shot past Knights goalie Adin Hill.

The quick strike erases any question over where the Oilers would experience a hangover from their brutal Game 3 loss, when Las Vegas scored with 0.4 seconds left in regulation to win, 4-3, and avoid a 3-0 hole.

Henrique added a second goal later in the chippy first period for a 2-0 lead.

Oilers center Trent Frederic and Knights defenseman Nicolas Hague got in the first fight of the Stanley Cup playoffs 4:36 into the game, and the teams were involved in a couple of other skirmishes in the first 20 minutes.

The Golden Knights will likely land a few more punches, both figuratively and literally. At least so far, the Oilers have had a response for everything thrown at them.
