Tyrese Haliburton officially has a fan in the form of The King.

Haliburton had another massive performance on Tuesday in the Indiana Pacers’ series-clinching Game 5 victory over the Cleveland Cavaliers. During the second-round playoff contest at Rocket Arena in Cleveland, Ohio, the Indiana star Haliburton put up 31 points on 10-of-15 shooting (including six threes). He also had six rebounds and eight assists as Indiana secured the 114-105 road win to make it to the Eastern Conference Finals for a second straight year.

In the wake of the winning performance, Los Angeles Lakers star LeBron James posted a notable message on X about Haliburton.

“Hali fkn hooping!!!!” wrote James. “Where the lames who said he was overrated??!! Quiet as hell. That boy NICE and even more someone everyone would love to play with! @mindthegamepod”

James is referencing the poll of his fellow NBA players earlier this season that selected Haliburton as the most overrated player in the league. Haliburton and the Pacers have since been using that poll as motivation and now have pulled off their most impressive victory yet by downing the 64-win No. 1 seed Cavaliers in just five games.

During the series, Cleveland fans took a swipe at Haliburton with an “overrated” chant. But the true hoopers know just how cold of a player Haliburton really is (including James, who was gold medal-winning teammates with Haliburton on Team USA at the Paris Olympics last summer).
