Jordan Spieth is on the hunt for the highly coveted career Grand Slam at the 2025 PGA Championship.
Spieth, 31, already has major championship wins at the Masters (2015), U.S. Open (2015) and The Open Championship (2017). Now nearly a decade later, he's still hoping to become the latest to win all four majors.
Six golfers in history have accomplished the career grand slam, including PGA Tour icon Gary Player.
Before this year's PGA Championship at Quail Hollow, Player made it very clear that he's rooting for Spieth to join the career grand slam list.
"This week, I am rooting for Jordan Spieth to capture the career Grand Slam. I have been a big fan of Jordan for a long time and do feel he is one of the most talented golfers on Tour right now. He is a magician, especially around the greens. I’m getting nostalgic thinking about how close together Jack and I accomplished this feat, and Jordan and Rory could do it in the same year, which has never happened! It would be amazing for our game and amplify what it means to win all four Majors. Good luck to all the Touring and PGA professionals competing this week at Quail Hollow! GP," Player wrote on X.

There's some added pressure on Spieth at this year's PGA Championship after Rory McIlroy completed his long-awaited career grand slam at the Masters last month.
"It's always circled on the calendar," Spieth said earlier this week. "For me, if I could only win one tournament for the rest of my life, I'd pick this one for that reason. Obviously, watching Rory win after giving it a try for a number of years was inspiring.”
Spieth is 2-over through 11 holes in his opening round on Thursday, putting him T85 on the leaderboard at Quail Hollow.
