Mark Scheifele got dropped on a huge punch from Jamie Benn late in Thursday’s game between his Winnipeg Jets and the Dallas Stars.

Winnipeg was leading 3-0 in the third period, and a skirmish broke out near the benches. Scheifele was being separated by a referee on the ice, but Benn still popped him with a stiff left that dropped Scheifele to the ice. Scheifele unintentionally took a linesman down to the ice with him.

Benn, Scheifele and Brandon Tanev all received roughing penalties. Benn and Tanev also received misconduct penalties.

Scheifele was livid after being punched, perhaps feeling he had been sucker-punched. His eyes were bugging out after the fact.

Scheifele scored the first goal of the game and assisted on the second goal in Winnipeg’s 4-0 win. The Jets’ victory extended the series to a sixth game as Dallas still leads 3-2.
