Bet cashed on Caitlin Clark triple-double is worth more than four times her salary

Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever weren't the only big winners on Saturday after a 93-58 win over the Chicago Sky.

Barstool Sports founder Dave Portnoy also had a good day, placing a $25,000 bet that ultimately paid out $350,000 on Caitlin Clark recording the third triple-double of her career.

Even though it was a long shot, since Clark only had two last season, Portnoy ended up as a winner after Clark delivered a 20-point, 10-rebound, 10-assist triple-double.

The betting slip will be worth more money than Clark will make during the entire 2025 season, at least via her salary, which is just over $78,000, according to ESPN

Portnoy, an avid fan of Clark, was in attendance for the game, sitting in the front row, according to the post by Barstool Gambling.

However, there were some moments in the fourth quarter when it seemed like the triple-double might not happen.

The highly anticipated matchup between the Fever and Sky turned into a blowout in the second half. When Clark left the game with around six minutes left, the lead was 26.

It was fair to question whether Clark would go back into the game. Ultimately, she did, for just long enough for Portnoy to avoid a painful beat.

Clark was subbed out of the game for good after her 10th rebound, securing the triple-double.

Portnoy bragged about the win afterward, posting on X and tagging Clark, as well as the Fever.

It was a great night for the Fever, not just Clark.

Portnoy also had a great night.
