The Denver Nuggets are keeping the door open for Aaron Gordon ahead of Sunday’s do-or-die Game 7.
Nuggets coach David Adelman told reporters Saturday that there is a chance Gordon might be able to suit up despite a left hamstring strain. Adelman confirmed that Gordon participated in Saturday’s walkthrough, but was a true game-time decision for Sunday’s Western Conference semifinals Game 7 against Oklahoma City.
Peyton Watson understands his responsibilities may be bigger tomorrow with Gordon’s injury. Said he “mirrored” him at shoot around and this could be a bigger canvas for him to put his “imprint on the game.”

"Just went through the walkthrough. Game-time decision obviously, but he fully was part of it. The game plan, both sides of the ball, so if Aaron can play, he will play. Just like Mike has throughout these playoffs, this is a different kind of situation, so obviously questionable," Adelman continued.
This is a bit more positive than the initial reports about Gordon’s injury. Still, it is hardly a guarantee that he will play, or that he will be effective if he does suit up.
Gordon suffered the injury late in Thursday’s Game 6, though he did remain in the game. Despite that, he did not contribute much down the stretch, which may have foreshadowed the seriousness of the injury.
The loss of Gordon would be a significant one for the Nuggets’ Game 7 hopes. He has been vital for the team in this playoff run, with a couple crucial game-winning shots to his credit. During the first six games of the Western Conference semifinals, he has averaged 14.5 points and 9.2 rebounds per game.
