The Indiana Fever suffered their first loss of the 2025 WNBA season on Tuesday night — a one-point loss to the Atlanta Dream.
But even in defeat, Caitlin Clark found a way to make history, tying for the most 20-point, 10-assist games in WNBA history.
1️⃣ Ties Courtney Vandersloot for most 20+ PT, 10+ AST games in WNBA history (Clark - 42 games, Sloot - 394 games)

2️⃣ Becomes the first player in WNBA history to open the season with back-to-back 20+ PT, 10+ AST games
3️⃣ Becomes the first player in WNBA history with multiple games…
Clark opened the season with eight, two behind Courtney Vandersloot, who led the WNBA with 10 all-time. The former Iowa superstar notched her third-career triple-double on Saturday in the season opener.
That gave Clark nine, and she recorded her 10th game with at least 20 points and 10 assists in the loss to the Dream. What's truly incredible about Clark's latest achievement is the historic speed in which she achieved it.
Vandersloot needed 394 career games to reach 10 games with at least 20 points and 10 assists. Clark needed just 42 to get 10. Surely, it won't take her long to set this WNBA record, though she set four different milestones Tuesday.
The second-year star also became the first WNBA player to have multiple games of at least 25 points, 10 assists, five rebounds and five three-pointers. Clark also passed Sabrina Ionescu for the most games with at least 25 points and 10 assists (six).
Lastly, Clark became the first WNBA player to open the season with consecutive games of at least 20 points and 10 assists.
Despite getting 27 points, 11 assists, and five rebounds from Clark on 9-of-20 shooting (5-of-11 from three-point range), the Dream built a 14-point lead and stole a 91-90 win thanks to a pair of Rhyne Howard free throws with five seconds left.
Aliyah Boston, an 88 percent free-throw shooter, missed one of her two free throws on the other end of the court just before that.
Defensively, Indiana allowed Atlanta to shoot 55 percent on two-point attempts. The Dream also knocked down eight treys, with five coming in the second half.
Brittney Griner and Brionna Jones combined for 40 points, 21 rebounds, five assists and two blocks. Boston was stellar for Indiana (9-of-13) with 24 points, 10 boards and four assists.
Yet, too many turnovers and offensive rebounds allowed were costly. Clark and the Fever have taken their game to the next level, but Tuesday's loss, records included, was a reminder that there is work to do.
