Kyle Schwarber is a certified masher.
This isn’t news, more of a reminder as he became the 11th active major leaguer to reach the 300 home run club Tuesday night against the Colorado Rockies. He made more history in the process, needing the fewest hits of any player in MLB history (949) to reach the milestone, 29 fewer than Mark McGwire's previous record of 978. He did it in classic Schwarber fashion as well, blasting a 3-2 pitch from Scott Alexander 466 feet with an exit velocity of 109.3 miles-per-hour according to Baseball Savant.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. Schwarber is one of the most feared power hitters in Major League Baseball and one of 33 active MLB players with at least 200 home runs. How many of those players can you name in five minutes?
Good luck!
