The Chicago Sky began their 2025 WNBA season last Saturday with a challenging 93–58 loss to the Indiana Fever. Angel Reese led the team with 12 points and 17 rebounds, while veteran Courtney Vandersloot contributed five assists and guard Ariel Atkins scored 11 points.
Despite these efforts, the Sky struggled offensively, which the Fever took advantage of. The game was also defined by a hard foul from Caitlin Clark across Reese's arm, which jarred the ball loose and knocked the 23-year-old athlete to the floor with a little over four-and-a-half minutes left in the third quarter.
In a recent Amazon live stream that took place on Wednesday afternoon, Reese answered some questions from fans while also showing off her favorite skincare, haircare and lip products from her Amazon Storefront.
During the stream, one viewer asked in the comments how Reese feels about the season so far. Despite the Sky’s tough loss in their season opener, the LSU alum responded with a smile and optimism. She shared that the season is going well and emphasized how hard the team has been working behind the scenes.
"The season is going well, even though we lost the first game," Reese answered. "But the team has been practicing and we have a game tomorrow. I'm very excited because it's our first home game."
Despite this setback, the Sky seems to be looking to regroup and focus on their upcoming games under new head coach Tyler Marsh.
The Sky will be going against the New York Liberty on Thursday at Wintrust Arena at 5 p.m. PT, and the Sky aims to bounce back strong in front of their home crowd.
