The Toronto Blue Jays have finally fought their way back to a winning record, and they did so in dramatic fashion with a walk-off win on Thursday.
The Blue Jays completed a sweep of the San Diego Padres with a 7-6 win in 11 innings at Rogers Centre in Toronto. The Jays came from behind twice in extra innings before outfielder Nathan Lukes slapped a game-winning base hit through the left side of the infield off of Padres reliever Jeremiah Estrada.
Daulton Varsho, who led off the bottom of the 11th with a triple, scored the winning run.

Toronto ended up in extra innings after closer Jeff Hoffman blew a 4-2 lead in the top of the ninth by surrendering a two-run home run to Padres first baseman Gavin Sheets.
But it was San Diego's bullpen that failed to get the job done in extra frames.
The Padres took a 5-4 lead in the top of the 10th on an RBI single from Luis Arraez. Jonatan Clase then did the same in the bottom of the inning for Toronto to tie the score again. Sheets came through for San Diego again in the 11th with an RBI single, but the Blue Jays rallied back to emerge victorious.
By sweeping the Padres, the Blue Jays improved to 25-24 on the season. That marks the first time John Schneider's team has had a winning record since April 21.
