The WNBA MVP odds underwent a big shift Monday after the Indiana Fever announced that superstar guard Caitlin Clark is set to miss at least two weeks with a quadriceps strain.
The announcement sent ripples throughout the league and the WNBA MVP odds, where Clark was heavily favored, immediately shifted. Clark, who was -105 to take home the award, dropped all the way to +210.
The new favorite is the Minnesota Lynx’s Napheesa Collier. The 2024 MVP runner-up is now priced at -140.
She’s set to miss at least four games with the Fever at Washington on May 28, hosting Connecticut on May 30, hosting Washington on June 3, and at Chicago on June 7. Depending on her rehab and recovery, Clark could be out longer than two weeks, which would further impacting her WNBA MVP odds.
