Former MVP Christian Yelich played the hero for his Milwaukee Brewers.
The Boston Red Sox were up 1-0 over the Brewers in the ninth inning. Leading off the ninth with a double, Yelich came around to score to tie it up at 1-1 and send the game into extra innings.
Following a scoreless top of the 10th for the Red Sox, the order turned back around to Yelich in the bottom of the inning with the bases loaded and one out.
Needing only to elevate the ball deep enough for a sacrifice fly, the 33-year-old delivered even more, launching his first career walk-off home run.

Yelich’s grand slam marked the Brewers' first walk-off grand slam since Daniel Vogelbach’s on Sept. 5, 2021. The blast also moved Yelich to second all-time in grand slams in franchise history with six. Yelich is second to only Ryan Braun, who played for Milwaukee from 2007 to 2020 and has eight grand slams.
