The Milwaukee Brewers erupted for 17 runs in their 17-7 win over the Philadelphia Phillies on Saturday, pushing their season-high win streak to six games.
Milwaukee’s 23-hit performance set a new season high and tied for the fourth-most hits in a single game in franchise history. The Brewers also broke their previous record for most hits in a game against the Phillies, surpassing their 22-hit game in 2001.
The Brewers' 17-run explosion matched their season high for runs scored in a single game, with all their runs coming in just three innings: four in the first, eight in the fourth and five in the sixth.
Rhys Hoskins (six, tying his career high) and Jackson Chourio (five) combined for 11 of Milwaukee's 17 runs, becoming the first Brewers duo to each drive in five or more runs in a single game since Luis Urías and Manny Piña in 2021.
Hoskins, facing his former team, crushed two, three-run home runs, while Chourio added another. The Brewers had totaled only three, three-run homers all season entering the game.
