Fans' international trip left Fever's Caitlin Clark stunned

Fans are now traveling globally to watch Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark.

After the Fever beat the New York Liberty, 102-88, at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis on Saturday, a reporter told Clark he and five fans from Hong Kong had flown 22 hours to see her play. That left the 23-year-old guard stunned.

"No way," Clark said. "I wish I could have met them. If you know them, tell them thank you for coming. That's incredible.

"Yeah, maybe we'll head to Hong Kong after the season. I certainly hope to go to Hong Kong one day. It's incredible to see the type of reach that we can have and how much people love basketball all across the globe. So that's really cool."

After missing the Fever's past five games with a left quad injury, Clark showed no signs of rust against the Liberty. She scored 32 points, including 14 in the first quarter, shot 7-of-14 from three-point range and had nine assists.

"Don't we always expect that kind of game from Caitlin?" Fever head coach Stephanie White said in a postgame news conference. "I knew her adrenaline was going to be high to start. She's been itching to get back out there. [Her scoring] carried us in the first half, and then everybody else carried us in the second half. Her decision-making was outstanding; she did a really good job of getting everybody involved, and that's what she does."

With Clark continuing to deliver spectacular performances, expect the WNBA's international fan base to keep growing. She makes a 22-hour flight worth it for fans.
