WNBA superstar Kelsey Plum has likely received plenty of autograph requests in the last several years, but a recent one did not sit well with her.
A video that went viral on Thursday showed an exchange that Plum had with an autograph seeker who appeared to figure out which hotel the Los Angeles Sparks were staying at for their latest road trip. L.A.'s next game is against the Minnesota Lynx on Saturday night.
Plum had a puzzled look on her face and asked the autograph seeker, "Don't y'all find that kind of weird?" She also said she was "really turned off right now."
Despite her hesitance, Plum agreed to sign one of the cards that the person taking the video had in his book.

It is possible that Plum was upset because she suspected the autograph seekers were looking to make a profit, not simply fans who wanted a souvenir. Autograph brokers will often find out where athletes are staying in hopes of getting players to sign so that they can then sell the items online or elsewhere.
Plum, a three-time WNBA All-Star, is averaging 20.9 points and 5.6 assists per game this season. She is one of the league's best players, so popularity and autograph requests come with the territory. She clearly was not flattered by the latest.
