Tyrese Haliburton’s dad wears bizarre outfit to NBA Finals Game 6

John Haliburton showed up for Game 6 of the NBA Finals in (his own kind of) style.

John, the dad of Indiana Pacers star Tyrese Haliburton, was in attendance at Gainbridge Fieldhouse in Indianapolis, Ind. for Thursday’s game between the Pacers and Oklahoma City Thunder. The game was a must-win for Indiana (with Oklahoma City leading the Finals 3-2) as well as the final home game that the Pacers will play this season.

Viral images showed John in the stands wearing a rather bizarre outfit. He was wearing a Pacers jersey on top but white pants featuring the logos of various NBA teams as part of the design. The strangest part of the outfit was that the logo of the opposing Thunder was actually visible on John’s pants (on the back left leg).

Take a look below.

Most fans, especially one who is the father of the star player, would avoid wearing anything even remotely related to the opposition. However, it is very clear at this point that John marches to the beat of his own drum.

John, who was temporarily banned from Pacers playoff games after an incident with Milwaukee Bucks star Giannis Antetokounmpo in Round 1 , has become something of a cult hero in Indiana. He was eventually reinstated in time for the Eastern Conference Finals against the New York Knicks and has even now been traveling to road games during the NBA Finals ( where he got into it with Thunder fans after Game 5 in OKC).

Even when he was serving his ban, John was still going viral for his hilarious celebrations from afar. On Thursday, he definitely made sure to show out for the final home playoff game of Indiana’s memorable 2025 run.
