While Cal Raleigh has rightfully gotten his flowers for his power-hitting prowess in the American League, Eugenio Suarez has been mashing for the Arizona Diamondbacks. But just days after hitting his 301st career home run and being named the National League Player of the Week, Suarez was forced from the series opener against the Chicago White Sox after getting hit by a pitch on his hand.
Suarez has 25 home runs and 67 RBIs so far in 2025, hitting five dingers in the first four games of the year. The good news for the D-Backs is that Suarez isn’t expected to join an Arizona Injured List that already features star Corbin Carroll, who hasn’t played since he was also hit on the hand with a pitch on June 18 that resulted in a chip fracture.
Which brings us to today’s quiz. With Suarez’s contract expiring at the end of the season and the D-Backs currently 2.5 games out of a Wild Card spot, it wouldn’t be terribly surprising to see a contender come asking about the veteran third baseman. With that being said, how many of the MLB players born outside of the United States to hit 200 or more home runs in their career can you name in seven minutes?
Good luck!
