Just as they're supposed to, the Los Angeles Dodgers took advantage of the worst team in baseball on Tuesday night. Los Angeles' potent lineup led the way as the Dodgers beat the Colorado Rockies, 9-7, in Denver.
Both teams recorded 14 hits in the game, but the Dodgers were the ones to benefit from hitter-friendly Coors Field the most. Los Angeles enjoyed two home runs, including one by superstar Shohei Ohtani and overcame an up and down day on the mound.
Los Angeles won the game due to its offensive explosion in the fourth inning. Trailing 2-0, the Dodgers scored six runs in that big frame, including a home run from Michael Conforto.

While the Dodgers have yet to truly enjoy the power Conforto has demonstrated throughout his career with the Mets and Giants — he's hit 20+ home runs five times including 33 in 2019 — maybe this is a sign that he's finding his stroke again.
Then, it was Ohtani's turn. The three-time MVP went opposite field in the sixth, hitting a home run, his only hit of the night, which was extremely essential based on Colorado's late-game push with four runs in the next two innings.

Ohtani has 27 home runs on the year, increasing his National League lead and putting him one behind the New York Yankees' Aaron Judge and five back of the Seattle Mariners' Cal Raleigh for the overall MLB crown. He's now homered in back-to-back games after also going yard in Sunday's 13-7 win over the Washington Nationals.
Continuing to beat up on Colorado, Ohtani has 12 homers and 31 RBI in 29 career games against the Rockies.

Aside from the home runs, Mookie Betts picked up two hits and drove in a run. Teoscar Hernández had a pair of RBI and Andy Pages sent the other runner home.
Jack Dreyer opened the game as Los Angeles' starting pitcher and allowed one run in only one inning before handing the ball over to Justin Wrobleski, who earned the win with seven strikeouts in five innings of work.

The Dodgers get to stay in Colorado for two more games on Wednesday and Thursday, needing one more win to claim the series.
