Sky's Angel Reese, Sparks' Rickea Jackson exchange pushes in heated moment

Angel Reese got into it with another opponent this week.

The Chicago Sky star had a heated moment with Los Angeles Sparks forward Rickea Jackson during Tuesday’s game between the two teams.

In the first quarter at Wintrust Center in Chicago, Jackson was fighting for a rebound with Sky guard Rebecca Allen off a Chicago miss.

Jackson and Allen got tangled up on the sequence and began trading words with one another. That led to Reese stepping in between the two and giving a push to Jackson with an extended arm. Jackson then got upset at Reese and pushed her right back.

In the end, Jackson and Allen were given double technical fouls for the incident (with Jackson also picking up a loose ball foul for the initial contact). Meanwhile, Reese and Chicago teammate Kia Nurse (who was in the mix there as well with a light shove to Jackson) managed to walk away scot-free.

Both the Sparks and the Sky are having disappointing seasons thus far. Los Angeles entered play on Tuesday at just 4-10 on the year (which is sixth of seven in the Western Conference), and Chicago is even worse at 3-10 (fifth of six in the Eastern Conference).

Meanwhile, this is the second time that Los Angeles and Chicago have played each other on the young season. During their first matchup last month, Reese was notably on the receiving end of a taunt from Sparks All-Star Kelsey Plum.
