The Indiana Fever have now fallen to 2-4 on the 2025 WNBA season when they are without their All-WNBA point guard, Caitlin Clark.
On Thursday, Aliyah Boston and the Fever fell to Kelsey Plum and the Los Angeles Sparks 85-75, falling to 7-8 on the year.
Clark missed her sixth game of the season after suffering a groin injury in Tuesday's win against the Seattle Storm. Coach Stephanie White noted that Clark is day-to-day and her status for Friday's game is up in the air.
In the loss, Boston tallied her seventh double-double of the season, recording 12 points on 4-of-13 shooting, 10 rebounds and five steals. Plum, on the other hand, notched 21 points on 6-of-11 shooting and six assists.
After the game, Plum joined the media for a news conference. The former Las Vegas Aces guard had high praise for Boston despite the Fever losing by double digits.
"Aliyah [Boston] should be an All-Star starter," Plum claimed. "She's had a phenomenal year, extremely efficient. She's super tough on the block. She's strong, very skilled. She's gotten a lot better. I give a lot of credit to her."
Boston has put together a solid third season in the WNBA. Prior to Thursday, she was averaging a career-high 15.9 points on 61.7% shooting, 8.2 rebounds and 3.8 assists per game.

Plum also had some praise for her own team as the Sparks ended a four-game losing streak.
"I thought we grew up tonight," Plum said.
With the win, the Sparks improved to 5-11 and remained in sixth-place in the Western Conference. Up next for LA is a battle with Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky on Sunday at 4:00 p.m. ET.
Boston and the Fever, meanwhile, will make a quick trip to Dallas to take on Paige Bueckers and the Wings on Friday at 7:30 p.m. ET.
