Auburn earns major recruiting win, flips four-star QB from Penn State

The Auburn Tigers have found their quarterback for the class of 2026. More specifically, the Tigers have stolen their quarterback for the class of 2026.

Peyton Falzone is a four-star quarterback from Nazareth, Pennsylvania, who, naturally, had been committed to Penn State since April.

Pennsylvania's top quarterback recruit going to Happy Valley? It just made sense. Hugh Freeze and the Auburn Tigers wanted no part of that narrative, though. So much so that they offered Falzone in early June and have made a mad dash over the past few weeks to get his commitment.

And it worked. He hasn't even taken an official visit to Auburn yet, but he's reportedly decided to flip his commitment from the Nittany Lions to the Tigers.

Freeze and the Auburn staff did a great job of selling Falzone on joining the program.

"Auburn is a place full of tradition," Falzone told Tom Loy of 247Sports. "My family and I have spent a lot of time discussing the school and its blend of elite football and high-level academics. It has it all. I'm blessed to be able to play at a school with a strong tradition of faith and family running throughout the university and the community. All of that is very important to us. I can't wait to be there. War Eagle."

What are the Tigers getting in Falzone?

Playing for Nazareth High School, he was the Eastern Pennsylvania Conference Offensive MVP in 2024 after throwing for 2,135 yards and 23 touchdowns (compared to four interceptions), while also rushing for 697 yards and eight touchdowns.

He's put up numbers at the high school level, and the rankings seem to predict he can do the same in college. According to 247Sports, he's the No. 11 quarterback in the 2026 class.

He's now Auburn's seventh 2026 commitment, and he's a big one at that. The Tigers have a ton of ground to make up, as their class is ranked just No. 77 nationally
