Here's who advanced to the second round of NASCAR's In-Season Challenge after Atlanta

Saturday's Quaker State 400 at EchoPark Speedway served as the first race of NASCAR's inaugural In-Season challenge, featuring 32 drivers and 16 head-to-head matchups. Following Chase Elliott's victory, here's who advanced to round 2.

(1) Denny Hamlin vs (32) Ty Dillon

Advanced: Dillon

Eliminated: Hamlin

Hamlin was involved in the Lap 69 crash, while Dillon largely avoided trouble en route to an eighth-place finish and a major upset.

(2) Chase Briscoe vs (31) Noah Gragson

Advanced: Gragson

Eliminated: Briscoe

Both drivers were involved in incidents, but Gragson's No. 4 had less damage than Briscoe's No. 19. Gragson finished 25th to Briscoe's 35th, pulling off another big upset.

(3) Chris Buescher vs (30) Todd Gilliland

Advanced: Buescher

Eliminated: Gilliland

Buescher finished ninth to Gilliland's 27th after Gilliland suffered crash damage and went 23 laps down.

(4) Christopher Bell vs (29) Ricky Stenhouse Jr.

Advanced: Stenhouse Jr.

Eliminated: Bell

In another huge upset, Bell was eliminated after being involved in a Lap 57 crash and finishing 30th. Meanwhile, Stenhouse Jr. contended for the win and finished sixth.

(5) Chase Elliott vs (28) Austin Dillon

Advanced: Elliott

Eliminated: Dillon

Elliott held off the field to win the race, while Dillon was mired in traffic and finished 20th.

(6) Ty Gibbs vs (27) Justin Haley

Advanced: Gibbs

Eliminated: Haley

Gibbs and Haley both mixed it up with the leaders in the final stage, but faded in the closing laps. Still, Gibbs' 14th-place finish was enough to beat Haley's 23rd-place effort.

(7) Ryan Blaney vs (26) Carson Hocevar

Advanced: Hocevar

Eliminated: Blaney

Blaney was knocked out in the Lap 57 crash, while Hocevar fought his way to a 10th-place finish in an upset bid.

(8) Alex Bowman vs (25) Joey Logano

Advanced: Bowman

Eliminated: Logano

Logano was a victim of the Lap 69 crash, while Bowman stayed in contention and finished third.

(9) Bubba Wallace vs (24) Daniel Suarez

Advanced: Wallace

Eliminated: Suarez

Both drivers sustained damage from crashes, but Suarez's knocked him out of the race. Meanwhile, Wallace limped home to a 22nd-place finish, which was enough for him to advance.

(10) Kyle Larson vs (23) Tyler Reddick

Advanced: Reddick

Eliminated: Larson

Reddick ran up front all evening and scored a fourth-place finish, while Larson could never work his way to the front and finished 17th.

(11) Michael McDowell vs (22) AJ Allmendinger

Advanced: Allmendinger

Eliminated: McDowell

Both drivers were still running at race's end, but Allmendinger's 12th-place finish bests McDowell's 18th-place effort.

(12) John Hunter Nemechek vs (21) Josh Berry

Advanced: Nemechek

Eliminated: Berry

Both cars were damaged in accidents, but Nemechek's 26th-place finish was enough to beat Berry's 32nd-place finish and procure another upset.

(13) Ross Chastain vs (20) Erik Jones

Advanced: Jones

Eliminated: Chastain

Chastain finished 33rd after being involved in the Lap 69 melee, while Jones finished fifth to easily advance to the next round.
