Things are starting to come together for Chicago Sky forward Angel Reese. After an up-and-down start to the 2024-25 season, Reese has been on an absolute roll over the past two weeks and continued that on Sunday with one of her best games as a pro.
She also set a WNBA record with that performance.
She finished the Sky's 92-85 win over the Los Angeles Sparks with a season-high 24 points, while also narrowly missing out on a triple-double with 16 rebounds and seven assists.
The big number there from a historic standpoint is the 16 rebounds, as that is the fourth consecutive game she has recorded at least 15 rebounds.
No player in the history of the WNBA has ever accomplished that.

Angel Reese led the way with a HISTORIC 24 PTS and 16 REB. That's her 4th consecutive game with 15+ rebounds, a WNBA RECORD #WelcometotheW | WNBA Pride presented by @coach pic.twitter.com/HTtZhxaQud
Reese has been one of the league's most tenacious rebounders since entering the league, and continues to set new marks for her ability to work the glass on both the offensive and defensive ends of the floor.
She led the WNBA as a rookie with 13.1 rebounds per game, and is again leading the league this season by averaging 12.3 per game. No other player in the league, as of Sunday, as averaging more than 9.6 per game.
Only one other player (Las Vegas Aces superstar A'ja Wilson at 11.9 per game) averaged more than 10 rebounds per game a year ago.
That aspect of her game has always been there, and it has always been her greatest strength.
Where the criticism has come in at times has been for her inconsistency offensively, especially in regards to her shooting and finishing. That is also starting to come around for her in recent weeks.
She has recorded at least 17 points in three consecutive games, and four of his past six games, while also shooting better than 50 percent in four of those games. If she starts finding more consistency offensively and starts becoming a regular 17- to 20-point player, she will be an extremely valuable player, even more than she already is.
