Where the NASCAR Xfinity Series playoff picture sits after Atlanta

Nick Sanchez officially locked up a spot in the 2025 NASCAR Xfinity Series playoffs with his win at EchoPark Speedway in the early hours of June 28. With nine races remaining in the Xfinity Series regular season, here's what the playoff picture looks like.

1. Justin Allgaier (three wins)

2. Austin Hill (three wins)

3. Connor Zilisch (two wins)

4. Brandon Jones (one win)

5. Sammy Smith (one win)

6. Jesse Love (one win)

7. Nick Sanchez (one win)

8. Sam Mayer (+136)

9. Carson Kvapil (+63)

A runner-up finish for Kvapil gives him a race's worth of breathing room with nine races remaining in the regular season. He's the only JR Motorsports driver who is yet to win, but more top-five runs could soon lead to his first trip to victory lane.

10. Taylor Gray (+28)

Like Kvapil, Gray found himself in the top five at night's end at Atlanta. His 28-point gap is decent, but he'll undoubtedly want a bigger one as he seeks a playoff berth in his rookie season.

11. Jeb Burton (+20)

Another race, another week where Burton and the No. 27 team continue to outperform expectations. A 16th-place finish at Atlanta likely left Burton wanting more, but few expected him and Jordan Anderson Racing to be in this position going into the season. If he can stay above the cut line after Chicago and Sonoma, he's got a real shot at a postseason bid.

12. Sheldon Creed (+0)

It once seemed unthinkable that Creed could miss the playoffs, but a serious slump has put the 2020 Truck Series champion as close to the cut line as you can be. A crash at Atlanta gives Creed three finishes of 32nd or worse over the last six races.

13. Ryan Sieg (-0)

Sieg finished 30th at his home track after being involved in an early crash, but he's not in an awful spot, all things considered. He'll need two solid weekends at road courses to stay in playoff contention.

14. Harrison Burton (-1)

Burton turned in another respectable 13th-place effort at Atlanta. Like Sieg and his cousin Jeb, surviving the road course races at Chicago and Sonoma is key to a potential run to the playoffs.

15. Christian Eckes (-51)

A 19th-place effort at Atlanta wasn't ideal for Eckes, who is still trying to recover from an unlucky start to the season. Keep an eye on him to be a surprise contender at both Chicago and Sonoma.

16. Daniel Dye (-52)

Dye ran a solid race at Atlanta and finished eighth. More of those top-10 days will be needed if Dye wants to make the playoffs in his rookie season.
