A’ja Wilson continues to dazzle the WNBA on a nightly basis, and her hard work has paid off once again.

On Tuesday, it was announced that Wilson has won Western Conference Player of the Week honors from June 23-29. It is the second time that the Las Vegas Aces center has won the award, previously earning it on June 1.

This marks the 24th time that the reigning MVP has won the award in her career, tying her with Washington Mystics legend Elena Delle Donne for the third-most awards in league history. Only Tina Charles (32) and Candace Parker (27) have won more than Wilson.

Through games of June 30, Wilson leads the league with 2.6 blocks per game, is second in both scoring (21.6 points per game) and rebounding (9.9 rebounds per game) and third with 1.9 steals per game.

On June 25 against the Connecticut Sun, Wilson became the fastest player to reach the 5,000-point milestone in 238 games, besting New York Liberty superstar Breanna Stewart by four games. She also became the second-youngest player to hit the milestone behind Hall of Famer Lauren Jackson.

The next night against the Washington Mystics, Wilson tied her season high with four blocks, along with 22 points and five rebounds.

On the road against the Phoenix Mercury on June 29, Wilson put up 26 points and 18 rebounds. It is the 79th time in her career that she recorded a double-double with at least 20 points, placing her second behind Charles (104).

The accolades keep rolling in for Wilson, and her continued run of excellence this season will be crucial to getting the Aces back amongst the elite of the WNBA.
