Fever score another impressive win without Caitlin Clark

The Indiana Fever are starting to play some of their best basketball of the season, and are doing so while their top player and biggest star — Caitlin Clark — remains sidelined due to injury. They scored another impressive win on Thursday night by dominating the Las Vegas Aces, 81-54, to win their third game in a row and fourth out of the past five.

It was also the second straight game where they limited an opponent to less than 60 points, becoming the first team in the WNBA this season to hold opponents under 60 points in back-to-back games.

What makes those two wins even more impressive as that they have come against two of the WNBA's best teams in Las Vegas and the Minnesota Lynx.

The fact Indiana has been doing this recently with Clark sidelined is a testament to how deep the roster has become.

On Thursday all five of their starters topped at least seven points, including four of them finishing with double-digits. Aliyah Boston finished with 20 points and seven rebounds, while Kelsey Mitchell paced the Fever with 25 points.

Natasha Howard also had a big game, finishing with a double-double by recording 11 points and 10 rebounds.

That depth was a huge advantage on Thursday and a stark contrast to what Las Vegas was dealing with. While reigning league MVP A'ja Wilson had another dominant night offensively with a game-high 29 points, the Aces did not have one other player record more than six points (Jackie Young).

Las Vegas had its star, and she mostly shined. She just didn't have any help around her.

Indiana didn't have its star, but the rest of the team came through in a big way. That was the difference.
