Donald Trump has sent shockwaves through the world by announcing that an upcoming UFC event will take place at the White House.

On Friday, the 47th president of the United States revealed his plan to host a massive MMA show to celebrate next year’s 250th anniversary of the signing of the Declaration of Independence.

Fans have already begun pitching their ideas for who should compete on the unique fight card.

Now Bloody Elbow has put together our dream five-bout card for the UFC White House event.

Jon Jones vs. Tom Aspinall

The greatest fighter of all time, Jon Jones, recently announced his retirement from MMA.

However, fans are convinced his potential fight with Tom Aspinall is back on the table following Donald Trump’s major UFC announcement.

Jones celebrated knocking out Stipe Miocic by doing the ‘Trump Dance’ at UFC 309 last November.

Many believe he will be tempted to fight again by the prospect of performing at the official residence of the US president.

Conor McGregor’s comeback

Conor McGregor said ‘Count me in’ after hearing about Trump’s plan for a 2026 UFC show.

The Irish superstar subsequently leaked a message of him talking things through with Dana White.

The UFC CEO ‘loves’ whatever idea Conor McGregor pitched – now it’s just about finding an opponent.

Michael Chandler would appear to be the frontrunner after their failed fight in June 2024.

McGregor has previously expressed his desire to compete over three rounds when he fights for the first time since breaking his leg at UFC 264 in July 2021.

A 15-minute McGregor vs Chandler is well worthy of a co-main event slot on our dream White House card.

Donald Trump’s biggest fan

There are a bunch of UFC fighters who are Trump supporters, but Colby Covington is the most vocal.

It would just be mean to rob ‘Chaos’ of the chance to compete in front of his hero at the White House.

So, we’ve decided to give him the chance to settle his long-running rivalry with Ian Machado Garry.

A win would propel Covington back into title contention, while a loss would probably end his UFC run.

The stakes really couldn’t be higher than a fight with Garry for Trump’s biggest MMA fighter fan.

Bo Nickal’s redemption

Bo Nickal was called a ‘great fighter’ by the US president ahead of his seventh MMA fight.

Things haven’t gone too well for him since then. The standout college wrestler was booed out of the cage as chants of ‘overrated’ rang around Madison Square Garden after he beat Paul Craig at UFC 309.

Next time out, Nickal was KO’d by Reinier De Ridder, who gave one of Trump’s favorite fighters his first taste of defeat.

Provided he hasn’t lost his most famous fan, Nickal’s redemption story seems destined to travel through the White House.

Jorge Masvidal BMF fight

Jorge Masvidal is supposed to return to the UFC in 2025.

The former BMF titleholder retired following a fourth successive loss at UFC 287 in April 2024.

Masvidal is one of the most high-profile fighters who supported Trump during last year’s election campaign.

‘Gamebred’ will likely get a spot on the UFC White House card, but who will he face?

For us, the inaugural BMF champion should get the chance to win back the belt in 2026.

Masvidal could potentially face Max Holloway if he defends his BMF title by beating Dustin Poirier at UFC 318 on July 19.

If ‘The Diamond’ wins the strap in his retirement fight, Masvidal could fight somebody else.
