Joey Logano calls for Ross Chastain to be fined after incident in Chicago

For the second time in the 2025 NASCAR Cup Series season, Joey Logano is none too pleased with fellow driver Ross Chastain.

On Lap 63 of Sunday's Grant Park 165 at the Chicago Street Course, Chastain spun in Turn 1 on a restart incident. In Turn 2, Chastain drove his No. 1 Chevrolet deep into the corner, making contact with Joey Logano, who, in turn, made contact with Ricky Stenhouse Jr. Both Logano and Stenhouse spun, with Stenhouse's damage being so severe that he was knocked out of the race and finished 31st.

Chastain went on to finish 10th, while Logano finished one spot behind him in 11th.

Logano and Chastain had a brief conversation on pit road after the race.

"He admitted he wrecked me on purpose," Logano told Fox Sports' Bob Pockrass. "He admitted it, which means he should get fined if he admittedly wrecked someone on purpose. That's not okay.

"Typical Ross, he just sees red and does dumb stuff," Logano continued. "That's all. That's twice this year on road courses I've been tossed by Ross. I'm over it."

Logano also called out Chastain following the March 30 race at Martinsville Speedway, saying that Chastain "races like a jack (expletive) every week."
