The golf bug infects everyone eventually, and LeBron James is the newest star athlete to receive a bite . The Los Angeles Lakers superstar recently posted his golf swing on social media, and it seems as if he's already attracted a coveted swing coach.

Over the holiday weekend, James posted a few videos on his Instagram of him playing golf for just the second time in his life. He wrote in the caption that he has a long way to go but loves the mental challenge of the game. Considering he's going to be 41 years old in December, now is a great time to fine-tune the golf swing before retirement.
James' post quickly went viral online, as athletes and celebrities from all over the world chimed in on his driver swing. Even Jordan Spieth, a three-time major champion and golf swing expert, commented on the videos and offered some swing tips to The King.
LeBron might be the king on the court, but how’d he do on the links?

"It's pretty solid," Spieth told Kay Adams on the Up and Adams Show Monday. "A lot of times, other athletes go to golf, and they start swinging super long and their arms go everywhere. It's compact, so there's some potential to obviously get a lot more power into it, but he's off to a good start there.
"He could use his wrists more. It's just kinda an arm swing. He could just get a lot more power if he lets that club float a little, use his wrists a little bit. As he goes back, the club only gets to what looks like a half swing. If he gets a little bit more of a turn, throws his wrists into it a little bit, he could gain 30 yards in 30 minutes. If he cares, whoever's gonna get to coach him on that, he's gonna be pretty excited, I think."
Who needs a swing coach when you have Spieth doing the work for you?
James has a ton of potential on the golf course if he can loosen up his swing and be more of an athlete over the ball. For being just his second time trying out the sport, though, it's an impressive swing.
James will have plenty of time to work on his golf game in retirement, but he plans on playing at least one more season in the NBA after signing his $52.6 million player option to remain with the Lakers. The future Hall of Famer will become the first player in NBA history to play a 23rd season.
If this ends up being his last, at least now he has golf to fall back on.
